I acquired this 8 ft by 1.5 ft very heavy, 37 lbs porcelain sign at an estate sale (1/2012) in Central California. The estate owner was a long time owner of a hardware store. I have no idea of it's origin, but it looks like a sign from England but that's just a guess. I found a similar sign on Google of an English tavern and posted it here too. The "&" is different. I hung it in my garage and enjoy looking at it as I park my car.
