Back to apologizing for green Loetz. . . .
But ever since I acquired the set of Ricke's books on Loetz, I have been in love with this shape's line drawing. I was lucky to have found the corresponding piece. 7.5" tall, a friend has called this shape "a Roman vessel"; she happens to have discovered it source. The decor is called "Ozon Diana Ciselé". The Dianas encompass a veritable catalog of early Loetz shapes. This one dates back to 1899.
