"2 quart decanter. Your fingers fit into the design and keep it from slipping in the hand.....$2.00." Discription from 1942 Frankoma Pottery Calalog. This item was made between 1942 and 1953. There are some signs of use on the jug, so it has served it's intended purpose. Now it just gets looked at and picked up once and awhile.
