My Dad was with the Flying Tigers in China during WWII. He brought this jewelry box back for my Mom which is why I assume it is Chinese. It is carved everywhere with a dragon prominent on the top and also on all four sides. I think it is teak but I am not sure. I was thinking maybe it was carved by one of the local Chinese for sale to the military men. If anyone has seen something similar or knows anythng about this jewelry box, I would love to know more about it. My Dad passed away in 1985 and my Mom is in a long term care facility with dementia.
