Most collectors of Czech do not include the vast production of glass buttons (or for that matter, glass "jewels") at Jablonec, which was an integral part of Czech glass production. I did, hoping some day to find buttons that might resemble any of my glass vases.

And it happened not only once, but twice. First I found the four buttons that resembled Loez Creta Formosa and then a set of 10 pink, larger buttons matching the Camellia Formosa. It's taken me 30 years but I finally got the pictures to prove the undeniable influence of Loetz on the Czech glass button industry.

For those into collage and Arts and Crafts projects, Czech glass buttons would make a dandy addition!

All sorts of interesting objects were made at the time, the most curious being shallow glass stands for piano legs to protect carpets. You can imagine not many have survived. Have seen one used as an ashtray. Not to be confused with piano legs made of brass-glass combination.

Now this is patient research, and not being driven by one's impatience!! Nice discoveries, Al!!
