first of all id like to comment on its weight. for a small item i believe
is extremly heavy, it comes in at 32oz. that is partly the reason i wanted
it. as well as being extremly beautiful and feminine. the porcelain panels
have cupids as the theme, both different front/back. the side panels have bouquets of flowers tied with a purple ribbon.
the glass too is appealing with its neat bevelled edges. the sound of the gentle regular movement is so relaxing to hear whilst i quietlysit with a book in the sun room. aah happy days.

can anyone enlighten me as to the value of such a piece, i would be very grateful;
Bellin68's right, you have to give folks a little more to go on. Unless someone recognizes the case most collectors wouldn't know where to start looking. Give us all the information you can and then if no one here can help you, you might want to try one of the professional appraisal services online. It may cost $10 or so... Good luck.
THE ITEM HAS NO MAKERS NAME AT ALL
IT DOES HAVE A SERIAL NUMBER ON CASE
IN 2 SEPERATE PLACES.
