About 1966 I was watching the neighbors across the street emptying the contents of the attic of their house where the owner’s 90 year old mother had lived. She had recently passed away and the family was throwing all her possessions out of the side window and into the driveway. As the pile grew this bottle rolled down the pile and onto the sidewalk. I Dream of Jeannie had just premiered this year, and I thought for sure it was a Jeannie bottle. I crossed the street picked it up and took it home where my mother promptly walked me back over to the house and made me tell the owner I had taken this bottle. She was tickled that I told her I thought it looked like a Jeannie bottle and told me she would love for me to have it. I still have it and wonder if anyone knows anything about it. It has an overlay design; from the tarnish I think it must be silver. It was sanded on the inside of the neck maybe had a stopper at one time. It is a blown piece as you can see by the cut off on the bottom. The color is a brilliant purple. If you have any info on this bottle I would love to hear from you. 11 1/2 inches high. 4 1/2 inches at the widest point.
