Greetings Everyone, I have just purchases this vintage cuckoo clock. I am looking to find information, history about this particular model. I was told this clock had been in the family for 20 years, but the previous owners did not know where it came from or a creation date of this beautiful clock. Can anyone tell me anything they know about this clock? All help greatly appreciated!
    Thank you Jeannine
Here is the sellers description of the clock.
A large 13/34" wide by 23" cuckoo clock.
Gong counting the hour and half hours.
    It has the following features:
    Original ivory hands
    Beautiful decorative painted wood bird
    Weights are original 2 pound
    New - working bellows
    Original ornate wood pendulum
    Roman numbers and original dial
Overall it appears to be complete and original except for new bellows.
The original wood bird appears to be a little lazy or shy--needs to be slightly adjusted to come out all the way when it cuckoos.
Not sure of the origin, would guess it to be Black Forest around 100 years old.

    Unsolved Mystery

If you pop the back off you can see the works and the name on them along with numbers. That will help you to research it in terms of when, where and value.

I'd say it's from the early 20th century due to the type of cuckoo bird. The pendulum is original. If the movement is brass-plate (as opposed to wood plate) see if it has the initials on the lower middle part 'GHS'. If so it's more desirable and stands for Gordian Hettich und Sohne I think is the correct German. It's not a Beha though.
