Well, I messed around with this stamp in Photoshop (or some predecessor). Not sure if that's legal, but I think they have bigger fish to fry. The stamp (Scott 1372) was released in Memphis in 1969.
I never really got to know WC Handy, but the fact that Marc Cohn mentions him in Walking in Memphis is good enough for me. I don't think his music was psychedelic though.
