I liked this Chinese clock when I saw it, the case is beautiful with banded veneers The bezel and face are outlined in red. It is a day and date clock and displays them under the 12. Above the 6 is an openning that displays military time. The movement door has a place for the key and the pendulum bob. It chimes on the half and on the hour and keeps great time. Now if I can figure out how to set the day and date I will be doing fine. There is a small arbor under the military time opening that I am thinking will allow me to set some part if not all of it. I think the key is not original, I believe the original was a two headed key. I guess you could say I have a fetish for calendar clocks.

Amazing. The clock has a recessed area in the door for both the pendulum weight and the key, which I've not seen before, and someone still manages to lose the key.
