I must have been 7-8 years old when my father found this treasure at the country dump. Saturday mornings were always "dump" days and we would make an adventure out of it; taking the long way there to canvas the local migratory birds, or what have you and the Texaco Opera would always be playing on the radio. At the time, I loved cows and this sign was such a great find! Looking back now though it is sad because it represents a thing of the past- small dairy farms in Wisconsin. This sign has hung in many apartments and homes. I recently re-discovered it in our basement since my 14 yearold daughter is in love with metal vintage signs. This one is a winner I think and it is in exceptional shape-painted on BOTH sides. I'm having fun researching it. I hope you like my "bessie"..
