I got this Quill Box about 3 years ago, probably made by a Native American of the Eastern Woodland tribes. Designs used were often floral, reflecting the rich plant life of Natives in the eastern Woodlands; common floral designs include five-petal flowers, plant and tree leaves, strawberry plants. It is made of Birch Bark, Sweet Grass is used for the rim of the lid and rim of the box. Porcupine quills are used for the design on top of the lid. It is about 4 inches in diameter and the same for height. It has no damage, one missing red quill on top and is holding together great for something probably made around the 1930's or so. I have many quill boxes and baskets in my collection. I have also given many to my Mom, she loves these baskets. Enjoy the pictures.

Actually, she has more. I see something that jumps out at me and I get it. But I have a really small place, she has alot more room. So, I give alot to her.
