Czechoslovakia Glass fan vase with applied amethyst drip marked czechoslovakia and has a beautiful pontl mark. it stands 7 1/4" tall and is 8" wide this vase is believed to be by Ruckl and the decor is called Green Shimmmy.. a beautiful example of Czech Deco Export Glass circa 1930's i LOVE all forms of applied amethyst. Hi Gary, just wanted to let you know this piece is actually kralik and not ruckl. She is certainly a beaut though :D
Hi Kyle, What are you basing your claim on? as far as i know, noone has this fan shape and decor documented as Kralik.. i believe it to be by Ruckl as does Alfredo .. so i think i'll stick with Ruckl until further evidence.. thanks for your input.. also wanted to add that when i first posted this vase.. i had unknown maker listed in the title and description, NOBODY bothered to say hey it's Kralik etc... thanks for your input
You're welcome Gary. Jericho had actually mentioned in Als post that they are Kralik. Also, imo they don't really look a whole lot like the Ruckl 988 drawing.
I'll be making a couple "shimmy" posts, hopefully in the next day or two. 1 with pieces I believe to be Kralik and 1 with pieces I believe to be Ruckl.
