I found this at a yard sale but know nothing about it. It has a vintage-y feel to it, but the only other one I have found for comparison was for sale on Etsy and the seller had no more information then I do. I'd love more info if anyone recognizes this!

What is it made out of? Are there any marks or words on the bottom or along the lower edge?
Thank you stefdesign, you have solved the mystery! :) There was a patent number etched on the side of the handle and after much googling I discovered that it is definitely NOT vintage as the patent was issued in 1995. So that's kind of embarrassing, but it's nice info about the teakettle anyway! :)
I you like it then it does not matter if it is vintage or not.
I meant to say If you...........
Thank you Pop_abides, I do like it, even if it isn't "true" vintage.
Glad you found out some information. It's very cute, and I love it!
Wow, wow!!!

Thank you! It is whimsical - I think that's why I like it so much. :)
No company name, just the design patent number.

Always wanted to create some whimsical ones!
You too?
Thanks, Benking. I'd love to have a collection of whimsical teakettles!
Very desirable!
Vintage or not, a great "Hummingbird" item, we won't tell my wife, LOL. I'll have to look for one of these for her now.
