Here is a woman's ring that I found at a local pawn shop. "It caught my eye" as they say, even though dingy & dirty at the time. I don't know the stones yet, but they are a beautiful canary yellow & sparkle fiercely almost like diamonds. Each stone looks to be around .5 karats & show no scratches or wear. The gold shows wear & is marked 10k with two side by side, lengthwise, diamond shaped marks, with an F inside the first and J(inside second diamond). The ring's sides come to a small side point/step that is pierced. It feels disproportionately heavy in the front for so little gold & gems. One stone looks like it differs slightly & I think it was a replacement. The stones are loose even now, and will require some attention. It only fits on my small pinky, but I'm 6' 5". I bought it with my mother in mind. She likes yellow stones, topaz especially, which I don't think they are. If anyone has a suggestion I'd appreciate it.

Very nice piece, I'm no expert on stones, but looks to be Citrine to me, might check this stone for comparison.
thanks kerry I appreciate your input. I thought it might be that too, but then I think shade looks to yellow. I'm no gem expert either though. In the books I was looking at it came closest to a yellow sapphire, in a different book it look like a beryl.
what did the pawn shop say they were? and are you positive they aren't yellow diamonds, any jeweler could prob tell you what they are
