As most of you collectionista's that know telephony, you also are quite aware of how lethal the handset can become! It weigh over 2 pounds! Made of hard bake-light and has a very long cord. This is a phone from a San Francisco 40's Officer's nightclub that sits atop of Taylor and Vallejo steps. Notice the 'Sutter' pre-fix! Think of Sam Spade and moidah by telephony. Learned that this is a Western Electric 302, pre-war.

Had one of these in my house as a child for many years.
Very nice! I have one like this too and use it regularly! Love these old phones!
Is yours capable of 'ringing', or do you have another phone that alerts you to a call coming in?
I forgot to mention. You "use it regularly". For what purpose? :-)
