Scott the difference in your photo's most definitely show financial status of 2 families . This girl appears to be holding a Armand Marseille Bisque doll or another lesser quality German doll and she is of a later period into 1900's -1920's. They were not considered the best quality dolls coming out of Germany and in todays market are most common to find . On the other hand the girl in your other Photo appears to have closed mouth Kestner doll . Kestner was known for a better quality doll , bisque was much nicer and she has a closed mouth and they were not as common and she would have been a more expensive doll in the time . As well as in todays market closed mouth dolls always fetch higher prices . Doll appears earlier circa 1870-1890 in 2nd photo you posted .
I love both photo's and Thanks for sharing them Scott !
