These 2 knives are some special pieces. 1st is a Hibbard Spencer Bartlett with the bowtie shield in ebony. This pattern is called an Easy Open Jack, after the cut out portion for the main blade to be opened without using the nail pull. The 2nd, on the right side, is a Jack pattern in Jig bone and is a NYKC/Hammer Brand knife. While there is some dark spots on the blades of both, this is called patina in the knife collecting world. Both knives have excellent snap on all blades, opening and closing. I did clean out the joints and liners so I could bring these knives back to their former glory.
