(11 items)

These items are just part in my Elvis Presley collection, Some (4)of the albums have NEVER been opened, all of the posters are in perfect condition and have never been displayed, the Memphis News Paper and the Plain Dealer News Papers are the same day as Elvis' death. All of the other papers were collected over the years. The other items were from the Graceland stores.

I have something like 60 in all, I've been collecting them for years but have run out of room for them. If you don't collect them , you should look at e-bay, some are going for well over $200.00 each depending on what they are. Thanks for looking

Trick we do collect Elvis and have a rather large collection of Lps and 45's . Please let me know what is selling for 200? I have never seen any sell that high . Looking for education if your willing to give me a few examples . I will post a photo of my husband with his Elvis record in 50's and one with Elvis hanging on wall next to virgin mary :-) Odd combo and they were not catholic? He loves Elvis much more than I do , I certain songs from all kinds of artists . Thanks for sharing some of your collection . Pretty impressive one too .

I have not put all of the pictures up yet, I wanted to put them all on one page, but could not find out how to do it yet (i'm new to this site). As far as what went for $200. ( never opened LP,s are huge right now).Look on e-bay from collectorsweekly on Elvis items, I had to go back into e-bay for weeks to keep track of what were big sellers, I was shocked at some of the prices,I have seen in the newspaper where a Elvis poster went for over $250,000. within the last 2 months. Buyers are out there, you just have to get your item in front of them, online,in news papers, word of mouth, whatever it takes.Good luck ..Trick

There are big asking prices but if you list them you find very few actually selling for big money and the ones that do are frequently in England. Researching your records is actually quite easy. Just Google the LP or LSP number or what ever number is on the label. In the above picture #4 you see LSP-2697 in the upper left corner of the sleeve. The same number should be on the label of the actual record. You will find a major span in prices. Keep in mind asking price and what it will actually sell for are two different worlds.

I am not selling unless you want a sad single manikin on site :-) I do not put a high value on it all . To me it is fun novelty stuff . I did record off of the some of the Lp's . I just believe that so many people collected his stuff when he was at the top that there is a lot of it out there and was not thrown out . That being said I would say very few things would sell high . I see a 45 in sleeve and think 1-2 dollars at most .

Some of the rare 45's in new condition command a very good price. There are Elvis items out there that are rare but they are far outnumbered by the more common items.

Given the option I would swap an Elvis item (after I researched it) and make out far better than if I tried to sell it. Some people have a mind set that says everything Elvis is a gold mine. Nice part is, they will swap you anything to get their hands on that Elvis item.

I just saw a LP go for $245.00 within the last week or so, I live close to Vegas, and people buy and spend like mad there, people with money will pay the price
( remember George Carlin said," nail 2 things together, that have never been nailed together before and some smuck will come along and buy it" ),,,if you do have a rare item or think you do,, you need to do a little researching,,, it will pay off. I have 2 or 3 of the same thing, those I would sell, don't more than one.I myself have sold a Elvis LP ( had 2 of them) for $190.00 .If its rare,or one of a kind,or mint, or unopened-- THE "perfect"item, the price will go high no matter where you are ,if someone wants it and has the money, they will buy it , you have heard the old saying " more money than brains" its true!!

If anyone knows how to put more than 4 pictures on one page ,,please let me know

fhrjr2,I know, I have seen people go crazy fo an Elvis item, and then they found out it was not that rare. People think just because it has "Elvis " on it , its worth BIG bucks, Just like guys with Harleys, 12 year old Sporty selling for 12K, come on. I have a Harley, but please.Just because it has a "NAME" on don't make it gold.

You have some nice LP's there.
Unfortunately you cannot just go by the record number on these. Several have 4 to 5 variations, cover, and/or record label, bonus photo enclosed, etc., with the same record number.
These are desirable LP's. I would not use ebay as a value guide. Half the people on there do not have a clue what there are doing. Many people there have no idea how to correctly do a visual grading of a record, or correctly grade a cover. Get a copy of Jerry Osborne's “Price Guide To Records” and check your variations, it could mean a significant difference in values.
The best of luck, great LP's.

Thank you , I have over 6o Elvis albums and 45's, and much much more on Elvis. I also have many “Price Guide To Records”,maybe 11 or 12 in all going back into the 70's,I have Price Guides To Antiques,Price Guides to Glassware, guides to furniture,I even have a guide to guidesbooks. I have a bookcase filled with reference books. I HAVE done my homework on all of my collctables not just the Elvis items.I have glassware, WWII items, very old furniture, books, news papers and so on. I do not us the internet as a last word on anything ,as no one should. But the sad thing is, I spent 5 hours adding all of my Elvis Memorabilia here and Collectorsweekly moved some to LP's, some to Records and left some here in Elvis Memorabilia , well,,in doing so most of my items were deleted, I wanted to put everything on just one page like I have seen others do, but am new to the sight and did not know how to do so, and now feel like if I do add more things, they will move them again to where they want them instead of where I would like to have them , so in that I will not add anything again. Thank you for all the nice comments, have a blessed day ,.,.,Trick

I was not implying you had not dome your homework, just trying to help. I do not know if you have them in protective sleeves or not, but, if they were my records, they would be in poly sleeves, even the ones that are still in shrink-wrap. That would protect them from spine breakdown and ring wear, which I see evident on several of them.
Again, just trying to be helpful. I have collected records for 45 years and just trying to pass on a little of what I have learned over the years.
If you do not know where to get the sleeves, try this website, I have done a lot of business with them and they are a great conpany to do business with.
Again, you have some very nice records there.

Sorry if I came across (*@&R&%), but i'm just miffed that all the time and work I put in here got deleted because THEY thought some might be better in another place. I had over 70 pictures here in 1 category, now only 40 in 3 different categories.
