Four more Boyd Pottery plates in my collection, these are quite different. I love the first in the posting it is busy and has so much detail. The last one with the echidna is the A.M. Boyd plate.

I always assumed the initials on the back of plates were that of the artist. This one is one of two that I have that are signed by the artist, I think! you should be able to see this one the A.M.B. plate, looks like '? Angela Vasey'. The other is the first one in the second posting, the woman with the basket, (one of my favourites) it has an under glaze inscription gifting it to some people. I could put a photo on if you would like to see it.

Yes! he is, a primitive mammal that lives in Australia. I love animals so had to have him...:-)

He isn't a porcupine he is an echidna, another Australian resident...:-) but nearly the same.
