I BOUGHT THIS BECAUSE IT LOOKED PRETTY AND LOOKED LIKE IT WAS PRETTY OLD. HAS PONTAIL ON BOTTOM. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS JUST A CHEAP GLASS PIECE OR IF IT IS MADE A KNOWN GLASS CO?

Hi Dottjude..I have a plate with a similar look to your item and it is still a mystery to me as well. It is frosted and reverse painted with gold trim...will post and see if I learn anything.....I have found out that frosted and revere painted were very popular during the depression...not sure if that helps..:)
