I wish I had a better photo of this, but I can't seem to get any angle where there's no glare. This is a screen-printed advertising poster for Ghirardelli chocolate on very thick cardboard and coated with a thin layer of wax, possibly to repel liquids.
I bid on one of these on Ebay and my computer froze in the last seconds of the auction. I weeped for months until another one came up for auction, which I handily won. Turns out the first and second seller got them from the same place, which was an estate sale by a guy who worked at the screen printing company that made these in San Francisco.
There is some fading to the red lettering (why is red the first color to go?), but the overall condition is good. It's one of my favorite pieces.
