I bought this electric fan today for 30 €, it was made by HIM for Holl Isaria Maatschappij and was made in Amsterdam in the Netherlands.
I hand polished the brass parts to look it shine, far better now than when I bought it

Look great, can u each me how polish such brass. I bought a vintage Westinghouse fan The blade look dark and bad. I truly will appreciate your kind effort of help. Thank you
Hi, I usually used triumpf polish cream or sidol and with steel wool, very thin grain non abrasive to don't damage the parts, I applied the cream on the brass parts and rub it until the part become to clean and become darker, then I polish the part using a soft tissue to make it shine, Id'l like to have a machine for polishing but I don't have any info on which machine is good for small parts
I'll normally get another electric fan this week or next week by the post that need a big cleaning, all parts have verdigris on it
