I am sorry that you need to part with them. It must be hard.

They save nicely. I have one of those jumbo glass canisters that one used to see in take-out delicatessens -- the kind that are like barrels, with a knop-lid -- that were filled with jumbo kosher pickles. I have mine full of my old trolls. They've been there for two decades, and they're doing just fine. How did people live before there were trolls, I wonder. miKKo

Hi, kerry81. Yes, those DAM trolls can enchant! The first toy I remember asking my father for was a 1964 DAM Scandia troll. She was enchanting - translucent skin, tender expression and more delicate (tee-hee) features, bright blue eyes, and lllllong hot pink MOHAIR tresses. My father said "No"; my mother said "Yes!" I've not found another troll I've esteemed near so much as that troll. For months and months, she was my most cherished toy.

REF my comment about the glass barrell: Perhaps you could place your favorite trolls in a lidded glass container and have a family member store them away for you. Walmart sells a jumbo glass kitchen barrel for about $24, and this might hold as many as 20-25 regular sized trolls. If you parked this barrel in a closet of an airconditioned home, your trolls would fare well. Just a thought, as I know that you are fond of them.

Yes, you're right. Some people don't care for trolls. Circa 1922, I drank a lot of boxed Minute Maid orange juice to get a particular troll, and one of my serious friends thought it was quite goofy because I don't care for OJ.

      Best wishes! miKKo

kerry81, my wife has collected trolls for a very long time, I was wondering if you or any of the others have ever seen a two-headed one.

Hi, kerry10456. No! Have never seen a 2-headed troll! Does one exist, and if so, when and who made it, please? Thanks! miKKo

      Oh, no....Circa 1992, drank a lot of OJ. Wasn't born in 1922.

@ miKKo, yes one does exist and I'll have her dig it out, take picture and post same. I'll see if there's a maker on the troll also.

Hi, kerry10456. Thank you!!! Yes, I should much like to see one. I just logged onto ebay to get a quick peek of what's available now, and I saw some old troll ponies and two old cave-trolls. I've also seen an old troll Giraffe before, but many persons haven't. Any of these rare creatures would make a great Show and Tell! Thanks! miKKo
