This is a single rosette from a horse harness. I believe they usually came in pairs, but I just have the one. The metal is nickle-plated and the image is covered in a thick convex glass lens. This is just one of the items from my Grandfather's Nebraska farm which my Dad gave me. I would date this at maybe 100 years old. Does anyone have any info on this?

I love the Patriotic motif of the Eagle and US Flag!
Maybe made during SAW or WW1 era to show support for the war or part of 4th of JUL "horse kit" for parades.

Great piece love it !
Thanks for all the love. I feel really good about being able to share these things.
scottvez you are most likely right because as a pair these would certainly dress up a old nag.
