This is my latest and greatest... It's an 18 size open face Hamilton from 1901. The 940 models -that's what this one is- were serious railroad workhorses. They're widely considered the watch that put Hamilton on the map as a producer of quality timepieces. Beyond all that...They're beautiful! I've tried to take some good pictures but I think my camera was having a bad day...lol... Check it out, it's running great and keeping pretty good time. It'll keep even better time after I've regulated it a bit...

These are great watches. I wear one at least once a week. Mine is serial # 976446 dating around 1913 with a Montgomery dial. Keeps perfect time. I love them.

I agree! The 940 is a great watch... Hamilton produced them from 1900 - 1928 with a total production of 205815 movements. Pretty incredible numbers!Thanks for the love pwc!!!

Mainspring just died! I've found a new one... I'll post shots of disassembly and reassembly if you'd like...
