My Grandmother gave me both of these pieces. I absolutely love and treasure them. I am kind of curious as to the value, if any of the chair. Tho you cant really tell in the picture, the wood and its finish is very good, just dusty as heck. I've never seen any with this particular "design" before. Kind of looks like a dragon maybe??
