From my research on the piece this artist was one who made his sculptures mainly of metal but not bronze, a lot of artists do both, but I don't think he gained a lot of fame in his lifetime. Base is marble. I have a lot of bronzes also, but if I really like a piece, I overlook what it is made of. Thanks everyone for comments and the love.
I have seen a more recent one lately, of the same sculpture done in an antique green patina, not as nice as this one. This one I got at an auction in Italy.

Thank you eye 4 beauty, and guyfrmatl. The theme here was a very popular one of an art deco lady with her Russian Borzois hounds, Chiparus and Priess also made models in bronze. These are the dogs usually tied to the 1920's to 1930's. They usually had titles like "Friends Forever" !~Phil.
