This is a picture that was taken about 1970 aboard the U.S.S. Hunley, (AS-31), a submarine tender to which I was assigned. I was a patternmaker in the carpenter shop and the people shown have just finished building a walnut bar for an admiral.
Naming the guys is a bit difficult anymore but they include, left to right: Max (first name)DC3, Dulin, (last name)Pm1, Clem (first name), myself and Finley (last name) DC2. The beer can is only a prop and was never opened.
We did a lot of comshaw work, (work unrelated to actual Navy jobs), like this. As I look back it was a good time and full of lots of experiences.

Thanks for all the loves and likes. Posting these articles is like meeting old friends again and the things other people post is akin to meeting a stranger, like them or love them.

Thanks AR8Jason, never understood what your handle meant, now it seems so obvious. That had to be a sad task, making those caskets, but as repair ships we had all the goodies and were called on to do a lot of 'extra' work.
