This is a fun find, I got it at a local public library book sale (Los Angeles area) and I've found a lot of great info. In honor of the recently released 1940 US census, I thought it would be fun to share this. Since the census is yet un-indexed, you can only search by location/ address/ innumeration district, not by name. If anyone has relatives who lived in Los Angeles during the 1940 census period, but have NO idea how to find them in the 1940 census, I'll be happy to look in this directory for you. It lists names, spouse name, occupation, if the person is the homeowner, and of course, address. No phone numbers. Here's a link to my blog entry about this book, and you can leave me a comment if you need info: http://copycatcollector.blogspot.com/2012/04/collection-210-vintage-1941-los-angeles.html
