    I got seven of these at an estate sale. I really love the way they look, It looks like they have rough garnet in the clay. When you look close you can see finger prints and hand marks in spots. The 2 larger ones have a nice red pigment on them, the others appear to be the color of the clay. Anyone who knows what they are or how to tell age please post so I can get as much info as possible.

      these are sculptures of Buddha, possibly from India or elsewhere in east Asia...google Buddha sculpture and you'll get tons of results.

      thanks for the info hunter. I was able to find more on the computer after your message. I have forwarded pics to a professor in asian studies and he has been filling in remaining gaps. All thats left is trying to determine age.
