Good Morning to everyone here on Collectors Weekly ! I ran across this minature tankard a few days ago while going thru some of my boxed up stuff. My mother gave this to me several years ago and I really did not think too much about it at the time. I figured it was a knick knack from China. After looking at it a little bit closer, I realized that it was made in West Germany. The writing on the bottom is "Original-BMF-Schnapskrugerl and the number 25". I am not sure what the lid is made of, but it failed the magnet test. Inside the middle of the lid is a small symbol and the words "REIN ZINN BMF". The tankard has some weight to it, and it appears to be made out of a white glass material. I am not sure if the design is painted on, but it is not a sticker. It turns out this item is a little more interesting than I thought. It has to predate 1990, when the two Germanys came together. I know the word on the bottom stands for liquor mug, or shot glass. That is really all I have on this. Was wondering if anyone else has one or has ever seen one similiar to this. Thanks for looking and have a great day ! ThriftyGypsy
