    This photograph is an 8" X 10" and the photo studio hand painted it to make it appear as a color photograph.

    This style was very popular during and after the war.

    The sailor has 4 service stars on his Asiatic Pacific Campaign ribbon, so he probably served for a few years in the war.

    I love the youthful and exuberant smile on a young man who most likely witnessed the death and destruction of war.
