This is an early 1900's Aluminum Canteen with screw-in stopper. The patent date is 1906 & 1908 made by A. Shrader's Sons, New York. My grandfather used this in 1910 when he was in the Boy Scouts. The earlier types used a cork as a stopper until the screw-in type was invented.
