I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I HAVE....SO I AM POSTING BRASS HORN TO DETERMINE WHAT I HAVE & GET SOME INFORMATION. THE HORN WAS FOUND IN MY FATHERS GARAGE ALONG WITH ANOTHER HORN WHICH I KNOW IS OFF AN OLD AUTOMOBILE. THIS BRASS PIECE MEASURES 38 INCHES LONG AND THE MOUTH MEASURES 3 INCHES. AS YOU CAN SEE THIS IS A COPPER COLORED BRASS HORN. IT MAKES A BUGLE TYPE SOUND. DID A RUBBER BULB GO ON THE END? IN THE CENTER OF THE PIECE IS MORE "BRASS COLORED" PIECE WHERE IT COMES APART. A RING IS AROUND THE HORN AND THERE IS A EYELET TYPE HOOK WHERE IT MUST HAVE HUNG. WHAT DID IT HANG ON? CAN'T FIND ANYTHING THIS SIZE IN BOOKS. IT IS OLD & HAS A FEW DENTS.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION OR IDEAS....THX

awesome....what a thorough description of this piece. can you elaborate on where this might have been played? outdoors? would the ring have been used for a strap to carry the instrument. thanks again for your time. BB
