Singer portable electric sewing machine No. 99-13. I bought it at an estate auction. I have the original book, all original attatchments, knee control, wooden lid, and key. The number on the machine is AA712210 and the Singer motor number is 4260054. Any information regarding the year made and the monitary value would be much appreciated.

Does anyone have an idea where I could find a valid price guide?

Your machine was one of a batch of 15,000 identical machines commissioned October 25 1925. There were 120,000 model 99's in the AA batches alone. it was a very popular model as a portable electric.
Sewingfool has told you what you need to know already. I have had people GIVE me these electric 99's - they are worth very little, their only value is as a second hand sewing machine. If you look on eBay it will give you some guidance, although people often ask more than what the machine is worth. Condition and accessories do make a difference - but if you are asking in order to sell the machine, that's not allowed here.

99's are lovely machines - they sew beautifully, and if kept clean and oiled and the electrics in good condition, no reason why you couldn't keep using it for a long time yet. They are lovely to look at and can make a nice display piece. That is their value. Their $ value isn't high.

I agree Bernadette they are very durable and work well, and I like the way they look also.. I now have my Great Grandmothers and it still works just fine and its in the middle of a red cherry desk, its one of thoes ones that fold right down in the middle of it its beautiful..

Prices are still all over the place, from free to 100 dollars. All depends on area, and how badly someone wants to sell it.

But they make lovely handcranks if they have a motor boss, and a spoked handwheel as this one does.

Hello! I recently purchased a 99-13 with the serial number AB23648. Seems like a great machine, only issue is the knee pedal is missing from it! I've been trying to find a replacement knee pedal for it, and have had a lot of difficulty trying to track one down, as it seems knee pedals all had different shapes depending on the exact model. Anyone know where I could find a replacement? Thank you in advance for your help!

Oops sorry @keramikos, the serial number is AB923648.

@keramikos, thank you so much for your reply! Yes, I also found all these listings, unfortunately none of them will fit the 99-13 machine I have. Instead of there being a screw that the knee bar cylinder locks into, the shape needs to be more of a diagonal angle cut out in the cylinder that locks into the part that turns for the machine.

At this point I'm considering modifying a knee bar I purchased to get it to fit perfectly, because it seems so difficult to find one that is the correct shape to fit.

      Thanks again for your help!
