Inherited this old jar when we purchased an old home. I'm not sure who manufactured or when. It says 1875 on the bottom, but I doubt that was really the date it was made. On the bottom in the middle of the rings is the letter B in a circle. Does that make it a Ball jar? There are also two number "5"s on the bottom. There are no markings on the side of the jar at all and no lid could be found. I'm hoping someone can help me solve this mystery.
