I've been told there is no numismatic premium for this gold coin, but I love it anyway. I find it fascinating that this very coin was passing through the hands of people and merchants about two years after Napoleon had risen to power by coup d'etat.
FYI: The colors in this photo do not represent well the colors of the actual coin, which is clearly .90 gold when viewed in person.
