This pin was my Grand Mothers. She wore it in the early 20's and 30's. It has seen 3 generations. It is green emeralds and tiny diamonds (?) around the outside of it. It is a beautiful piece. The back is all gold. Has anyone ever seen anything like this before?? Any idea of it's worth?? Thanks.........

I think your brooch is likely more from the 1950's. The type of rhinestone in your brooch was not created until the mid 50's I believe. Its called Aurora Borealis. This type of "costume jewelry" is very collectible. As for a value, priceless as it belonged to your grandmother! Love it as she must have:)
Definitely aurora borealis rhinestones not precious gemstones. Swarovski released the first AB finish crystals in 1956 and they remained popular until the mid 1960s. The setting is decent quality and the half moon shape is unusual.
