This pin/locket was my great Grandmothers. It is very unique. It is 2 inches long and has tiny pearls and tiny diamonds (?) on it. When you open it, it pops open into 4 circles that hold photos. Then folds to close. Interested to see if anyone has ever come across anything like this before......and it worth and how old it is.......

At the first sight it looks like an earring to me. No I'v not seen such a photo locker before. It is hanging on a so called Fleur de Lis. Are there hallmarks, or is it gold you think?
What a lovely locket! I've never seen one like this.
Lockets with photos were popular in 1890s and then again about 50 years later. They are still being made. Based on the photos my guess would be that your locket is a piece of costume jewelry in Victorian style.
Love the Fleur-de-lys. Lovely.
I put the pictures in it back in the 1980's. That is 3 generations.......the locket was my Great- Grandmothers......
on the photo with your finger 0ther is a mark - Pat'ed pending there is something above that also. that would also hint at the age. Also look at the pin back, what is that like, early pieces would be a pin back like a safty pin and not a swivle type.
