I do not remember where or when I got this stamp. I have it with my coin collection and thought that I would put it on here and see if anyone has any information about it. It says on the stamp.......Indiana State Board of Health. Instituted Nov, 3 1881 1 and a half cents. Inspection Stamp Sanitary Bedding Section . Columian Bank Note Company. Any info anybody has on this would be helpful..Thank You...

sounds like a cinderella stamp - not made for actual postage, but used to certify that the Board of Health had inspected with "sanitary bedding"
I have the exact same stamp in perfect condition. Did you ever find out anything on its value, or where I can get any information on it.
think i can solve the mistery. Those stamps were placed on mattresses on the label if it was purchased in Indiana.I have a sealy posturepedic Firm-O-Rest matteress and it has that stamp on the label.their is a spot on label that says place state stamp here.Matress is mint condition
I understand what it is. I was wondering if it is worth anything?
