WW2 era trench art ashtray with a P-38 topper. The body of the P-38 is made from bullets and bullet casings. The body of the plane is shell brass and the base is a 90mm shell casing (1944).
The veteran had this ashtray chromed. It shows dings from the years and is wearing through on the base.
