I wasn’t sure who made this piece at first but have since found out, thanks to Deb @ Glasshounds, it is Loetz Rubin Papillon. Apparently this decor with a ruby red interior is less common than its blue interior counterpart. It has a stunning iridescence.

The other cool thing about this vase is it was a commissioned piece by Max Emanuel and first introduced as early as 1898! I think the rubin ground really makes the Papillon decor (which literally means "butterfly" but on this piece especially you can see why so many people call it "oil slick") stand out. You find the best pieces, Mac!
