This grouping shows the tone differences in the Greens. It also shows the difference in the finis of the backs in the three factious: Ruskin, Astra & the other unknown one.

I'd say it's almost a rule of thumb that the bottom is clear. There is one I remember with a splash of glaze, I think. The later ones with the flambé glazes that I've seen in books are even more finely finished.
