    Hi:
Does anyone know if this is a Buddy L tank produced during WWII ? It is made completely of wood, it has no markings but, is very heavy and well made. Measurements are 13" long, 5" wide and 6" tall. I do know that Buddy L did produce toys during WWII out of wood due to the war effort as did most toy companies but, I can not find a catalog for this toy. Any information would be greatly appreciated such as, value, rarity, number produced, year(s) produced, etc.

    Thanks
    Mike

Very nice toy. It's interesting to see that boys still had toys despite material restrictions imposed during the War. The following link shows a tank that looks as though it was probably made by the same manufacturer as yours. While it is of a different style, the yellow stenciled track quite close. Unfortunately the maker is not indentified:

I have also included two links to Buddy L wooden tanks for comparison:

      Good luck with your search.

Indeed, like fourpeepsake said, I'm not sure who made your example but it was not made by Buddy L.

I've been looking for a nice one of these. They are tough to find with their barrels and paint in decent shape. Very nice from another tank lover!
