I need your help identifying this pocket military bag its some what heavy
it feel rough and it ha s metal in the and a hole inside that goes through.
I am wondering what was it use for? Thanks

    It is for an entrenching tool. Also known as a fold up army shovel. The tool goes in this and hooks on your web belt or butt pack so you can carry it.

    We were still using them in Nam in 68 but this one looks to be before that.

    I'm off to do chores Packrat so you don't need to rush.
