This vase stands 7.5" tall. It could be just another Loetz or Kralik Chiné bowl, but I have rarely seen that kind of large polished pontil on Kralik pieces. It does bear a very obviously fake Loetz "signature" The fun part is the top, which measures 3.5"in height, and is composed of a two-tiered open trellis, that is, it does not fold on itself to turn the piece into a "bride's basket". I have only seen this kind of top on one other piece.
I have an educated guess as to who made it, but I will wait till I check my records.
The vase arrived after I had posted the pictures. I did not expect it to be so voluminous; it is quite heavy glass, and does not react under UV. I shall change the picture to show it next to other chinés. In the pictures, it looks like opaque green glass; it is not.

More and more I lean towards early Loetz.
After having compared the pontils in three of my Chinés, I am reasonably convinced it is early Loetz. The similarity also stands when placed next to the others
Look at the new pictures. Unfortunately, I do not have access to my books for another two weeks! But I'd say, early period. Discount the "signature".

Is the new one a Neptune too? How can the 'crown' be described " mit candia"?
The crown IS Candia! Candia is a colorless base glass! Sometimes it is described as yellowish, but i think it is the effect of the Silberiris it usually goes with. Candia, after all, points to white/colorless.
And how can it be Neptune if it is Chine?
Al, this is such a rare and beautiful piece! Yes, Candia = clear. BTW, you will also see at the top of the drawing that it mentions in German that there are 10 rows! Not sure if this refers to the holes lined up in each row or the lines of glass that make up the holes.
Indeed, it does have two rows of "glass lace" with 10 holes each! I am always amazed at the exactness of some of the Loetz designs.
