This is one of my favorite baskets because of the unique design with small flying birds all over it. The detail is amazing and it looks like it took a long time to make. I think it is from Alaska and was most likely purchased there almost 20 years ago. Other than that, I don't know anything about this basket. It is about 7" tall or so. Please help me out with any information you may have out the basket. Thanks!

Definitely Alaskan, and for sure a master artist did this. It is beautiful! These are made by the Yupik and Inuit tribes and maybe a couple others. They use the long grasses that grow along the shore there to weave these beauties. Absolutely gorgeous!
