This is the second AM22 in my collection. This one, being red, is exactlly like the one I had when I was just 8 years old. I recall listening to it late (well...late for an 8 year old) at night, picking up stations from all over the country. First heard the Grand Ole Opry on that radio.
This one took just a little work to get playing again. Replaced 4 electrolytics and one broken resistor, added a 9 volt battery connector and it sounds like new.
