This is a very large and very heavy compote bowl. It has lovely enameling and it is cased in vaseline glass. I am pretty sure it is Bohemian but I am uncertain as to the maker. Thanks for any help in advance!

what does the base look like? the quality of the glass looks high, enameling not so much. I would agree with bohemian, 1870's give or take ten years.
The bottom is flat. A of the gold gilt work is gone. Let me know if a photo would be helpful.
a photo may or may not be helpful. it certainly couldn't hurt anything ;)
